Danielle worked as the Lead Aesthetician at River’s Edge Spa & Salon for many years under previous ownership. When the opportunity came, she was able to achieve a dream of hers along with her husband and purchase the business in 2015. In the years since, the business and community of River’s Edge has grown tremendously.

Danielle is a mother of three boys, values self-care and wellness, and is a self-proclaimed ‘sweatpants enthusiast’.

Leanne celebrated her 10 year anniversary with RIver’s Edge in 2025. She is always seeking out ways we can go the extra mile or add a special touch. Her favorite parts about working for River’s Edge are supporting women in building their careers, and seeing the business grow and change year after year. Her & her husband have two wonderful children, and Leanne considers herself a novice potter and gardener.

Morgan has been with River’s Edge since 2018. She was the perfect fit for the fast paced energy of the hair salon. She is so easy to make a connection with and effortlessly puts a smile on your face! Morgan has said, “I get to work with amazing women everyday who lift me up and inspire me to do better- and I hope I do the same for them.” (She TOTALLY does!)

Melanie is a graduate of Spa Tech Institute and The University of Maine. She loves providing her guests with relaxing, result-oriented facials. She also specializes in therapeutic body treatments. She is well versed in waxing techniques to ensure the least amount of pain as possible. Melanie wants each of her guests to leave feeling pampered and rejuvenated.

Lisa has been in the beauty industry for more than 15 years. She specializes in precision cutting and natural color options for any age. She is very passionate about the industry and strives for guest satisfaction through a thorough consultation.

Monica has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. She specializes in curly or textured hair. Whatever your needs may be, enhancing the curl or learning how to straighten those curls, she is the Stylist for you.

Melanie has been behind the chair for 15 years and brings a diverse background to her work, with experience in wedding boutiques, booth-rental salons, and one of the largest spa resorts in New Mexico.

She’s known for her ability to see the potential in a style and shift it into something more interesting, expressive, and personal. Melanie specializes in alternative color, edgy cuts, and creative transformations for guests who want their hair to reflect their individuality.

Her approach is collaborative, creative, and always focused on helping people express themselves through their style.

Ainslie joins the Rivers Edge team bringing with her 20 years of experience as a cosmetologist and salon owner. Originally from Lexington Kentucky, she found her way to Maine in the summer of 2022. Her passion for hair is clear in her attention to detail, knowledge of her craft, and emphasis on a positive guest experience.

Meghan is a recent graduate of empire beauty school who is excited to further her education, especially in color. Meghan spent a year at a community college which ended up confirming that cosmetology school was were she was meant to be. Meghan says;

“I fell in love with doing hair because of the way it makes people feel whether it’s a simple trim or completely different color!”

Growing up with a mother who owned a salon, Katie's passion for the industry ignited at a young age. She pursued her dream by attending Paul Mitchell the School. With a vibrant career journey, she had the privilege of showcasing her talents working as a stylist at NYFW and holding numerous assistant positions in salons across the East Coast and Colorado. Now firmly rooted in Kennebunk, Katie's mission is to infuse each experience with a touch of magic.

Victoria has always had an eye and love for the beauty industry and art, even when she was little. She thinks that many people don’t feel as beautiful as they are and loves doing anything to help with that. Victoria also enjoys helping people relax after long days and to truly be an outlet for them to feel seen and heard. 

Hairdressing isn't just a job for me; it's a lifelong passion. I've known since I was young that I wanted to make people feel beautiful, and I'm so grateful to do that every day as a hairstylist. After graduating from cosmetology school, I immersed myself in the world of hair and haven't looked back. I'm committed to ongoing education, constantly refining my skills through classes and teamwork with fellow stylists. My greatest joy is seeing the smiles on my clients' faces when they leave the salon feeling like the best versions of themselves. I'm here to help you achieve your hair goals and create a look you'll love.

Heather joins our team with many years of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist. She has been working in a dental office for the last 25+ years but was looking for a change that she would be passionate about, and the road led her to River's Edge! Our team has really enjoyed getting to know her and we know our wonderful guests will as well! Heather lives with her family and adorable puppy Moxie in North Berwick and she looks forward to making connections with our guests!

Alex has been in the spa industry for over ten years. She loves to help guests unwind and strives to help you look and feel like your most radiant self. Having a variety of mastered skill sets is a true point of pride. Alex says, “Providing guests with healing facials & education as to how to properly care for their canvas at home is an honor.” In addition, bringing balance to the face through brow shaping is a personal favorite skill in her set. She also enjoys and excels in precision waxing of all kinds.

“Rest and self care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.”

Hannah is a Maine native who currently lives in Saco with her husband and two dogs. Since childhood, she has loved all things beauty and always wanted to make a career out of it. She loves making people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin, leading her to the Aesthetics field specifically. Hannah is a passionate learner, always looking to expand her knowledge and skills. When she’s not working you can catch her doing makeup on movie sets!

With a lifelong passion for skincare, Kathryn is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm to Rivers Edge Spa & Salon and help our guests feel their most beautiful. She is dedicated to providing personalized skincare solutions tailored to each quest's unique needs. Kathryn aims to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere where guests can indulge in rejuvenating treatments. Alongside a commitment to ongoing education and staying on top of the latest trends and technologies in skincare, Kathryn finds balance by enjoying trail walks with her family, listening to her favorite podcasts, and showering love on her kitties.

Patty is a 2016 graduate of seacoast career school. She loves helping people and making them feel better, as she has been in the nursing field for 20+ years. Patty specializes in sports massage but incorporates deep tissue, therapeutic and swedish massage

Christy has been practicing massage for over 15 years after graduating from Salter School for Massage Therapy. She enjoys caring for others and helping them relax and feel better. Some of her favorite techniques are Swedish massage, therapeutic massage, aroma therapy as well as hot stone.

Emily is a 2018 graduate of Spa Tech Institute where she learned Swedish, Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone and specialized in Polarity Therapy. She is passionate about providing each guest with a high-quality session tailored to suit their specific needs, because every body is different! Emily studied modalities such as myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, therapeutic cupping and reiki to enhance her practice after school and has worked in a wide variety of settings. She enjoys using an assortment of techniques in each session, especially during our combination massages.

Kate customizes every session to meet each individual's needs. Her techniques incorporate use of many modalities including relaxation style massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, reflexology, stretching, cupping and aromatherapy. Kate also has advanced training in assessing and treating individuals with neck pain.

Emeli graduated from Spa Tech in January of 2022, trained in Swedish and deep tissue work. She is also a graduate of the University of Arizona with her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Nutrition. She looks forward to continuing to build her background in holistic health.
