Becca Watts, Executive Level Stylist & Creative Director

Becca has been in the beauty industry since 2006. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work, staying on top of the latest trends and innovative techniques. Becca specializes in color and voluminous blowouts that have great bounce and hold. She stands out as our exclusive HairDreams certified stylist. Becca has expertise and enthusiasm for wedding and bridal styling, and with her extensive knowledge and experience using the Jane Iredale line, she produces transformative makeup applications.

Lisa Martin, Master Stylist

Lisa has been in the beauty industry for 14 years. She specializes in precision cutting and natural color options for any age. She is very passionate about the industry and strives for guest satisfaction through thorough guest consultation. She believes in continuing education and strives to stay at the forefront of her field through constant education on innovative product and services.

Monica Tardif, Master Stylist

Monica has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. She specializes in curly or textured hair. Whatever your needs may be, enhancing the curl or learning how to straighten those curls, she is the Stylist for you.

Melanie Wilson - Master Stylist

As a licensed hairstylist for ten years, Melanie has had so many opportunities to grow and learn. She comes from a diverse background, working in intimate wedding boutiques, booth rental salons, and most recently one of the largest and most successful spa resorts in New Mexico. Her adventures in the beauty world have allowed her to embrace the varying styles and trends based on culture, community and the individual expression of each guest. Melanie’s true passions lie in specialty colors and creative cuts. She loves to be a part of a guest’s transformation and will cheer you on to step outside of your comfort zone to try new things. Anyone who allows her to be a part of their beauty routine or transformation can be sure that their experience will be unique to them.

Bekah Langlinais, Stylist

A native of Louisiana, Bekah has over 5 years experience within the industry, earning her license through Aveda Institute. She is meticulous and enthusiastic about her work. Bekah is dedicated to helping her clients achieve a customized design for weddings and everyday styles. Her interest lies within an integrated approach to beauty and wellness. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Nutrition (MSAN) from the University of New England.

Ainslie Walton, Senior Stylist

Ainslie joins the Rivers Edge team bringing with her 17 years of experience as a cosmetologist and salon owner. Originally from Lexington Kentucky, she found her way to Maine in the summer of 2022 and spends her summers in Wells. Her passion for hair is clear in her attention to detail, knowledge of her craft, and emphasis on a positive guest experience.

Ainslie will be back in May 2024!

Kaitlyn Bergeron, Stylist

With a background as a veterinary technician for six years, Kaitlyn has a nurturing spirit and attention to detail, which she now channels into crafting beautiful and practical hair solutions.

When she's not behind the chair Kaitlyn is most likely spending time outdoors with her two boys!

Meghan Cyr

Meghan is a recent graduate of empire beauty school who is excited to further her education, especially in color. Meghan spent a year at a community college which ended up confirming that cosmetology school was were she was meant to be. Meghan says; “I fell in love with doing hair because of the way it makes people feel whether it’s a simple trim or completely different color!”

Katie Russo

Growing up with a mother who owned a salon, Katie's passion for the industry ignited at a young age. She pursued her dream by attending Paul Mitchell the School. With a vibrant career journey, she had the privilege of showcasing her talents working as a stylist at NYFW and holding numerous assistant positions in salons across the

East Coast and Colorado. Now firmly rooted in Kennebunk, Katie's mission is to make every guest feel not just professionally styled, but also to infuse each experience with a touch of magic. With her, your hair isn't just a canvas; it's a masterpiece in the making.

Francesca Johnson, Assistant

Francesca recently graduated from Spatech and she has been so eager to extend her growth & learning opportunities within the salon world! With many years of customer service experience, she loves being able to make a connection with people through conversation. Her goal is to always give anyone who sits in her chair a relaxing and personalized experience and leave feeling beautiful and refreshed.

In her free time you’ll find Francesca enjoying all of the wonderful aspects of coastal Maine!

Assistant Becoming an assistant is the first step for someone who is starting to build their career at River’s Edge. These stylists are learning advanced skills & improving efficiency while servicing their own guests (*models). They are concentrating on hair services that include cut and color services as well as event services. An assistant can be anyone from someone still on school to someone coming back to the industry or someone that is experienced but needs to learn RE standards and protocols.

Stylist An assistant is promoted to Stylist when they have completed their initial River’s Edge training. Stylists are promoted to the salon floor and are developing and perfecting their skill set while growing relationships within our community. A Stylist is not always someone who is recently licensed, but rather someone who is new to our salon.

Advanced Stylist These stylists are developing their unique artistry in all principle based design haircuts and color techniques, and have started to accomplish goals they have set with the River’s Edge leadership team. At this point in their career, they are focusing on discovering their passions within the industry and establishing goals that will help them in reaching their potential.

Senior Stylist These stylists have gone through additional education, training and certification in all the primary principals. They have been consistent with goal setting and are a role model to team members. These stylists are in the process of mastering their specialty, and have built trusted relationships in the community.

Master Stylist Master Stylists show exemplary talent and knowledge in the fields of advanced color, cutting, and styling. Master Level Stylists knowledge is an asset to our team. They also serve as mentors while taking on additional responsibilities to keep the salon operating smoothly. There may be times that Stylists at this level are not accepting new guests on their calendars

Executive Stylist To reach the Executive Stylist position, a team member is seasoned in their career and has an outstanding reputation. They are well known for their work, and have reached rigorous goals and educational requirements. They have reached a point of expertise in cutting, color, and styling. There may be times that Stylists at this level are not accepting new guests on their calendars

Creative Director This team member has achieved comprehensive goals and education standards as well as taking on a leadership role within the salon. Our Creative Director is a key voice in the ins and outs of our salon, goal setting, encouragement, direction, decision making, and mentoring.
